The Ventura Countywide Stormwater Quality Management Program established the Ventura County Community for a Clean Watershed to provide Ventura County residents with information about our watersheds: what they are, why they are important, and what can be done to protect them. The public's help is vital in meeting our goals of clean water.
Awareness campaigns are typically conducted twice per year and cover important stormwater and urban runoff related pollution issues. Television and radio spots, brochures, billboards, and transit shelter posters are all utilized to demonstrate why clean watersheds are important for clean water. Brochures and fact sheets are available to explain the proper use and disposal of common yard and household items and wastes, including paint, pesticides, fertilizer, pet waste, and used vehicle-fluids.
